Bychok sweatshirt
This sweatshirt features an illustration by Andrii Voloshyn, which pays homage to famed Ukrainian folk artist Maria Prymachenko.
At the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, a museum holding a collection of Prymachenko’s work in the village of Ivankiv was destroyed by deliberate shelling. Two local men risked their lives, entering the building while it burned, and were able to save some of Prymachenko’s work before the museum was completely destroyed.
Andrii Voloshyn is a nuclear physicist and a self-taught illustrator with 15 years of professional experience. The illustrations in this collection are a junction of modern and eternal Ukrainian symbols, brought together with a contemporary and lively style.
